You pretended to be lost every Thursday night in The Grove so I would find you. I was always lost myself so Lei had to help me navigate the hundreds of drunk college kids in the streets. We were always sweaty, fatigued and slightly intoxicated by the time we found each other. Then, it was always just us. Leigh faded, The Grove faded, any semblance of time faded.
Sometimes I pretend to be lost in the busy streets of the city, hoping a guy from South Trinidad will find me. And, a couple of times, I thought he did.
